Okay, so I almost died..

Yeah, really..I almost did!

[Based on a true story!]
So after an exciting and fun day of skating and laser tag at the Illini Skateland with my church youth group, I'm finally home with my fam and Chase. I was supposed to give Chase a ride home in which I did with no problem..Anyways, I decided to stay a little bit where we played pool, watched television, killed some cheese sticks, and downed a couple of cans of Pepsi soda..Well, when it was finally time for me to come home, I was on my way back to my crib. Upon leaving that area, I was near Wal*Mart, I pulled out and drove for a few seconds before 4 crazy suicidal deer leaped out in front of my car! I immediately slammed on my breaks and then stopped right there with a quick instant. Luckily, I had my brights on so I could see them. Anyways, since my brights were on, I could see on the other side of the road, where there were about another 8 deers!! They were all staring at me as if it were my fault and they wanted to do something about it! I did the right thing and made the wise move by sitting there and letting them pass first..Now let me tell you, I'm not scared of much, but when you're surrounded by 12 deer, it's pretty frightening..Anyways, the deers made eye contact with me, I promise they did! I was nervous, sweating..Let me note, at this time, not many cars were out either, surprisingly. But yeah, I thought deers traveled in packs of 4 or so, but here, they were running 12 deep! Now that's a pretty scary sight. Well, before long, the deer took this opportunity to cross the street and about 4 of them stepped in front of my car and the other 4 followed up by walking behind my car..And of course what am I to do? I can't really do much!! I'm sitting there, freaking out..Trying to come up with a strategy and plan..I was ready to swing! If I was going down, then I would go down with a fight! I was ready for war and I wasn't about to let some "deer" punk me! Well, they were literally about an inch away from my car and I got chills up my spine just watching them walk pass me..Well, after I noticed the last one had crossed, what did I do? I broke the law and hit 70 on a 45 mile per hour road!! Afterall, they DID punk me I guess..But imagine being in my position..What would you do?! I was out of there as quick as I could go..From there, I had my eyes opened as big and wide as they could go, which wasn't very much..But still, I was on the alert because I've got a feeling the deer will be seeking revenge! This Is It!

Today was the day! So I set my alarm at 6:10 A.M. I was supposed to wake up early for one final practice before our actual worship service. Instead of waking up at 6:10 A.M., I woke up at 7:10 A.M. How? I found that I had slept through the alarm and if it wasn't for Pastor Corey, I'd probably STILL be sleeping right now!! [It would help if I wouldn't go to sleep around 3 or 4 in the morning when I've got to be up by 7!!] He called me and ask me where I was, my response? "Oh..I'm supposed to be there, ain't I?" After having a short conversation with Corey, I quickly woke my brother James up. We immediately hopped up and got ready for church. I came in around 7:40 or so..Just enough time to rehearse the last two songs. Surprisingly, I sounded decent considering I had just woke up. So I went through with practice and before long, here was the big moment. [For me anyways.] I wasn't so used to everyone watching me. [There were others on the stage, but they've done it before, so I'm not sure they were as nervous as I was.] Fortunately, I was able to go on with the show and sing "beautifully" as some of the congregation told me after service. But anyways, at first, again, I was slightly nervous but once I started getting into rhythm, I sang naturally! I didn't care who watched me, I just wanted to praise God and give thanks to the Lord! Anyways, I had a blast! So here comes Sunday School. YES!! It was over!....For now..Well, I was all excited and pumped up because everyone said I sounded "beautiful and great." I'm sitting there in Sunday School, just talking away amongst myself and some of the youth. Then, the bell rings, and then it comes to my attention that I've got to go out there and perform again!! OH NO!! Anyways, to my surprise, I wasn't nervous at all this time. I went out there and worshipped him like I've never done in my life! I layed it on down on the line "And I..IIIIII..Surrender! All To You! All To You!" Sorry, that was the closing song we did, ha ha..Just got caught up again. Anyways, again, people congratulated me and told me I did an awesome job. A few of the ladies said they never knew I "had it in me." What? Was it because of the way I dressed? Ha Ha..Corey did mention I looked like a gangster up there singing Christian songs which was funny..But anyways, he thought it would be funny if I held the microphone above my mouth near my nose as if I were a rapper. Overall, I do believe we sounded great. Kelsie was standing next to me and boy did she sound good! Tori and Jasmine sound great too, but the only thing was, you could barely hear them!! Come on girls, I know you can sing as long as you talk! ;) Anyways, after service this time, Laura Williams caught up with me and said that I was "hidding my talent" or something of that nature and said she found it. Then she went on to say that she is pleased to add me to the "worship band.." What in the world? I didn't sign up for that!! I didn't even sign up to sing for Youth Sunday! Oh well, God has a plan and maybe he's leading me in that direction. Well, anyways, I don't mind being on the Worship Team..In the end, we're all there for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ anyways, right? Only problem I have with being on the Worship Team is..I'VE GOT TO GET UP EARLY EVERY SUNDAY!!! >.< Well, guys, until then, everyone take it easy and have a Happy New Year! ;)

Singing In Church!!

Okay, so pretty much, on Sunday, December 30th, our church youth group is leading church service for this wonderful morning. We'll be in charge of doing skits, running media, lights, music, testimonies, ushering, and whatnot. Anyways, so my part..You could probably guess, would be the worship part. That's the only DECENT thing I can do of all of those. So today, I woke up around 7 or so..[Yeah, miracle huh? I almost DIDN'T wake up but I knew I'd make a fool out of myself tomorrow if I tried to sing without knowing the words, so I FORCED myself to wake up.] Anyways, I get ready and drive to church. From there, we quickly take action and we start the rehearsals. I was soo excited and I pumped myself up for this. Suddenly, I started to get nervous..In practice! I didn't sing the first song or so, because I was so nervous..Not even anyone but Julie was there to watch us! Anyways, when a song I knew, "Indescribable" by Chris Tomlin was printed on the paper, I already knew the lyrics because Chris Tomlin would be like my favorite Christian Artist. So I immediately snapped into place and layed it all down! I sung with emotion and they told me I did great! So as we went on, I was able to learn most of the songs so now, let's hope we can impress the people and our congregation tomorrow with our talents! Hopefully, we'll be able to carry through with the service [I know we will], but hopefully, we can get it all accomplished on one shot without any trouble. So now, tonight, I'm downloading all of the songs we practiced so I can get the flow of them into my head so I'll be prepared for tomorrow. By the way, watch the New England Patriots face off with the host New York Giants tonight!! It should be a good one! ;) Until then, God Bless!

New Computer..

Yeah..So our computer finally crashed for good..We've restored it at least 15 times..But now, after about 8 years, our old computer is dead. We lost all of our old songs, pictures, videos, everything! All of our files are gone!..Which, really sucks because I had about 2 or 3 songs typed up in which I did on the computer and didn't write down. Next time, it's going on paper, you better believe it! R.I.P, buddy! I'll miss you..Anyways, yeah, we went out and bought a brand new and better computer. It's got way more space and more newer things. Now, we can make videos and put movies and plenty of pictures and songs could be put on here or downloaded! Yes! I'm just now getting on after my brother put the rest of the files up. It's 3:54 A.M..*Yawns*. I think it's time for bed here in a hour or two..Ha ha, well, take care, everyone. God Bless, peace!

Guess What? I Finally Got My..

Guess what? I finally got my Driver's License! Yes, Ma'm! Thank you! Congratulations, John! I really appreciate it, guys! Now starting tomorrow, I'm gonna drive to church! Yes!! Anyways, after about a year and a half of barely holding onto my permit, I finally went out to the driving building this morning around 9 AM! Yes, a miracle was performed when I got up early besides going to church!! Well, I ended up drivin there and then remembered that we forgot my birth certificate and my social security number..We had to go ALL the way back, which sucked..Anyways, yeah, I'm glad I got it. Thought I would share with everyone who cares. God Bless, guys! Take care!

Yo! What's really good? Anyways, this is the AZN. soldja. Just wanted to let you guys know that I just got a new track recorded on the "Soldjaz of Christ": "Live For Christ" CD. It's labeled: "Livin Testimony" which I had written after the inspiration of a good friend, Daniel Kelsey. He had a powerful message to preach last Sunday Morning in Church, which really got me goin. Soldjaz of Christ!

Hey! So it's been a while since I've posted a blog here..Actually..It's been a very long time..Feels like it's been years..Can't believe I still remember my log in name!! Anyways, what I'm really wanting to get down to is this: My friend and I just created a Myspace Page for a Christian Rap Group called: "Soldjaz of Christ" which includes myself and my friend. We thought it would be a good way to show how a couple of teenagers can express themselves and what an impact Jesus Christ had made in their lives. We feel that we can life the Lord's name up with our rap game. As of right now, we are in the process of recording a few new tracks to share with everyone.
